Think & Tinker designs and 3D prints custom assistive devices for children with disabilities โ at zero cost to families.
Think & Tinker was founded by sisters Sophia and Mia Friedman, who discovered the power of 3D printing to change lives. Every device is custom-designed, tested, and delivered free of charge.
Every device is tailored to the individual child's needs and body.
Precise, lightweight, and durable โ printed with care.
Completely free to every family we serve, always.
We refine until it's exactly right for the child.
We partner with therapists, hospitals, and families to reach children who need us most.
From first contact to final delivery, we guide families every step of the way.
A family, therapist, or doctor contacts us about a child in need of an assistive device.
We learn about the child's needs and design a custom device โ often iterating through multiple versions.
We 3D print a prototype, test it with the child, and refine the design until it fits and functions perfectly.
The final device is delivered to the family โ at zero cost.
Hi, I'm Sophia! I love building and designing things โ there's nothing better than starting with an idea and making it real. I play volleyball and I'm in the nursing club at my high school, which is what got me so interested in the medical field. Think & Tinker is my way of combining design with actually helping kids, and I can't imagine anything better.
Hey, I'm Mia! I love building things and getting out in the community to make a difference. I do gymnastics, which has taught me a lot about pushing through hard things. I want to be a doctor when I grow up, and Think & Tinker feels like the perfect head start. Connecting families with devices they need is my favorite part of what we do.
Real children, real devices, real impact. Every photo represents a family whose life we've touched.
Every dollar goes directly toward materials, printing, and getting devices into kids' hands โ for free. No child should have to wait.
100% of donations go toward free devices for children in need.
